Sixth Graders learned to create paper masks. Based on the video by Peggy Flores, students learned various paper techniques to make these fantastic forms.
Sixth graders studied cool and warm color schemes. We then used the wet-on-wet watercolor technique to paint the background in either cool or warm colors, then used a wet-on-dry method to paint the bird using the opposite color scheme.
Welcome to Mrs. Dowd’s Art Class. I teach 6-8 grade art to a bunch of incredible kids. I will document my lessons and work for my students, parents, and other educators here. I hope you enjoy our middle school journey to the Art Side.
